Boat Saga

We have the deck cleaned and wrapped as there is rain in the forecast.
Unfortunately it is too windy to work further, to secure the new flooring
Thank goodness the deck wood is sound. The next thing is to apply the vinyl flooring. I was surprised to see how light the flooring it, it resembles the vinyl on boat seats but nobby. An adhesive is used just as the old vinyl flooring used to be glued down. After the glue is applied the vinyl is anchored to it by laying the vinyl over the glue and applying pressure, It is recommended to roll the floor to get out any air bubbles, I have a theory and we will see if it works. I want to lay the vinyl out over the surface and then divide it in half on the long end ( from haul to bow) then glue a section 4 X 16, lay the vinyl flat and using a rolling pin roll in one direction, that would be from the center to the edge therefore getting the air bubbles out of the area rather then rolling the airbubbles into the centerline. The repeat on the other side of the boat. Lets see if it works that way!! Stay tuned for next weekend
