Just not my size!

As I quickly craft in my last few days in Florida, I have a few odds and ends. Once again I am madly knitting for the cancer kids camp and have another colorful afghan that hopefully I can complete in tne next few days. Miss whiz only takes a few days to whip one up so keep tuned to see what I have done with the scrappy yarn provided
The pic in this post is a twisted cable stitch with colorful butterfly buttons. What sweet young thing wouldn't want this in their closet?

Boggey Creek

Boggey Creek is a camp for kids with Cancer, and a charity supported by volunteers of this RV Park. As a result there is financial support as well as handmade items such as quilts and afghans. Free for all yarn is provided by residents who wish to donate. I chose from the vat of odd and ends, determined to use up scraps here and there, leaving larger balls for those who want to spend a little less time of tying in all the ends. The afghan is very vivid as you can see and fit for a young child who has no hangups over pink, purples and fushia's.

Hope they enjoy it!

This is what Ben hopes his iddy biddy

Plant will amount to this one day. He has all sorts of hope. This neighbor's gardenia is doing well and has lots of buds and blooms. Never was it covered during our coldest spell, but managed to produce it's flowery show.

Caught Red Handed

Russ and his wife, Rosemary have a nice golf cart as you can see. One day when they were out their neighbor asked me to do them a favor. Being the Canadian I am - oh sure says I. Only to be caught. There I was doing a favor for BOB ( who had permission to use the cart) driving down the street oh so cautiously stopping for all pedestrians and stop signs when it happened. Oh yes!! Who do you think I stop for at that three way stop?? The owners of the golf cart- unknown to them I had possession of their cart while doing work for BOB..

Hmm wonder where they put that key??

My friend Russ

Has this huge Nordic Pine that he has spent time pampering, with coverings during frosty sessions this winter. It's integrity has been kept. With a little brown here and a little brown there the tree is very healthy. It has faired better than most in this oh so frosty climate here in Central Florida

Coach's Digs

Look at the swank unit my golf coach has, SHe and her hubby are very comfy in their class A. Home sweet home as they live in their unit all year round. They have just painted their cement work to welcome guests

Poor house

This is the main office of our RV resort. This is essentially the "bank". I visit them each month asking for rain and snow and wind discounts to no advance! They still take my money and charge me for those brr cold wet days. The staff are pleasant and always very entertainig as they take my plastic. Some day I will win the lottery

Finally a Blossom

The cool days, cool nights and occasional winds have prevailed, but not enough for the rose bush. Finally the fruits of our efforts in protecting said plant, have paid off. Unfortunately there is one less bud as I tore it off in my covering scheme. One will never know once the other 10 show their flowering faces.
