After one week away

http://www.tourismvictoria.com

In VIctoria, B.C. we are glad to be home and put our feeties up!
Ben was able to see his relatives and his older sister.
While we were easily entertained with home improvement projects from painting, to deck repair, screen door adjustments and laying a new bathroom floor. Somehow the days passed so quickly . Now home to reality

Can't let me loose

I was out for a walk when.............. I saw this bouquet, It would be perfect for my hand pump ornament. Jennifer had bought me this wooden hand pump with a tin can to hold flowers. A neighbor about 1 mile away ditched the ugly pot with flowers. I took it home, ditched the pot and saved the flowers. See can't take me anywhere or leave me to my own devices!

Here Puddy Puddy

Wouldn't you know that I am allergic to cats and as luck would hae it......... Every cat in the neighborhood has attached itself to my yard. I am certain that one of my neighbors is feeding said beasts. I have spied three cats traveling singularly now in a gang..

The first of is a tabby - for lack of a good name I have named him/her Snoopy. Snoopy is inquisitive and quick on his feet, peering and neck craning as he works his way across the yard. always checking his blind spot.

Carefree is a black cat with a white throat. He is DUMB! He must be a young puddy cat and tires easily , he decides to take naps in the middle of the roads, sprawled out on the pavement.I believe his days are numbered as the school buses make their way down the street.

Third but not left out is Scruffy. He is just that, while the other cats look well groomed Scruffy is definitely a wild cat. His fur is ratty, he is very skiddish and he is not a people person. Thank goodness for one that is allergic to him! As I step out of the house i see him scanter to the neighbors and make a home under the neighbors porch.

We don't appear to have any mice around for feed. However we have an over abundance of cute, destructive chipmunks. I wonder if they are an inquired taste or of the three muskateers can be taught how to hunt chipmunks. especially ones that find their way into my garage.

Do you think anyone would notice is I put the three muskateers into the garage for a week? Maybe they would learn to love and devour chipmunks. I hear they taste like chicken

Best time the year..................

I got a little side tracked with my trip into town.
I tore out most plants on my one sunny garden
Ben hacked at trees as you can see his bounty on the rock wall in earlier pics.

So today I stopped by Canadian Tire, then home depot. They knew I was coming!
Every plant was 50% off. I filled my back seat with plants $26 from Canadian Tire.
Homedepot $23 to fill my trunk!!

From lavender ($8 for a gallon pot), roses ( a whopping $5), shasta daisies, mums. ground cover to name a few. They are now being watered and soon there will be pics!

Yippee for Jane's shopping spree- Ben may never let me go out alone again!

If you wait you will be rewarded!

It is 6 am and I can't sleep after a night of clapping thunder, rain and lightning, Alarms and answering machine and clocks snapping on and off. SO off to my messy garden I go, I was hacking and trimming and getting it somewhat under control when out of the corner of my eye.....................I saw a local dog walker, wandering along the roadside.. His dog pooped and he scooped. The walker secured the parcel in a bag and tossed it under my mail box. Hmm did not know I was in full site. I watched and worked as he continued down the road, did a U turn and coming back. I went to my mail box and pulled open the door with the newspaper in full site. I entered the garage by a side door that is concealed, waiting for the right moment, and there it was! He stooped , picked up the dog's bound droppings, and reached for my paper. Now the poop bag was strategically placed allowing him to have quick entry into my mail box. AHHA< As he stood up straight there I was face to face, hands on hips. ' Why thank you for the oh so personal service". I watched as he slunked out of site!! AHHHHA
