And she can sell the shirt off your back!!

I created a website a day and a half ago for my horse trailer

http://www.daggertrailer.blogspot.com

I sold my horse trailer with my website in one day after I posted and the first person came gave me full price.
The first person to come and see it bought it!
It looks great and I had repainted it last year. The people have a horse business in Pembroke and raise mini's also have a percheron. They will use it to take the horses back and forth between fields. I got my full asking price yippee

Felted Figures

From short to tall, big to small, we made them all!
Whether it was a fair maiden, a damsel in distress or a crotchety old fellow guild members put their talents together. With felting needle, tufts of wool we shape, we sculpt and we try not to stab ourselves with the sharp barb felting needle. A two day workshop was held by the guild for members who wanted to try their felting creative skills. With lots of laughter the students had a great time and a great product to take home.

Can you guess which one is mine?? I will give you a hint, the last little guy

A little sprig here a little sprig there

I just cold not resist! Off to the store I went and came back with a mountain of pansey's and Johnny Jump ups. From orange to mauve with a few white carnations, pots are lined up on the deck. In a factory row I plant first the base of soil, then plop in the pocket of plant and envelope it with more soil.. A little water and a little tap, they are now adorning my deck, table and large planters sprinkled around. I was cautious in case of foul weather I know these will survive. Plus they were the only thing available at the site of purchase.
GROW BABY GROW.

The evening suggests that we will have thunder storms and light rain, horray I have been waiting for my lawn to be watered. Perhaps there is a lawn and plant fairy afterall!

Lawn care 101

The dandelions defrocked, the lawn raked, seeded and fertilized, just in time for the spring rains. Everything is so green this year despite the little snow fall and precipitation. I suspect we will make up for it somehow.

The water level of the river is much lower than I ever remember, but the current is still not to be trusted as it swish's by the shoreline. Perhaps in a day or two the stairs down to the shoreline will be dropped into place and secured so that any weight atop will not skew the stairs from the rock base.

I mutilated all of my shrubs and flowering trees last year hoping that they would thicken up and to remove any dead wood. Boy does it look awful, but alas there is a leaf or two appearing. I am hoping a little more rain and warm weather will add to the grown spurts and my hack job turns out to be a work of art.

The perennials are all sprouting and I am to soon plant some annuals in pots that are spotted through out the property. However I am relying heavily on the perenials to return in full force producing the bulk of my crop and reducing any need to buy !!

We will just have to see what progress can be made over the course of the week and what will appear in those pots.

Just one more thing??

Just how much can we got into our truck an 8 foot box with cap...... Oh I wish I had taken a pic.

We went to our daughters house on Thursday after lunch . I scrubbed , repainted and steam cleaned. BY 1 on Sat the real estate agent was to appear, but not before the neighbors came in to give their approval. The agent was pleased with the house, there was no suggestion of any further improvements. New floors, bathrooms, hot water tank, fresh paint job and new appliances had all happened during the 7 years we owned the house. The gardens were weeded and prissed.

Now listed with the first showing this coming weekend, we are now concentrating on the garage- trucking things home to be sorted into piles of garbage, keep or recycle, there will be little keeping I can tell you. We have filled the truck once and are expecting two more attempts to empty the garage. It is a big job and we are tired....

Unfortunately there is no curb side service here....... but Timmy's is not far away

Bad luck continues but there is a rainbow

It gets worse, the truck we got to the shop a few miles down the road, Ben was able to hitch a ride back, Then he looked at the Mercedes and the motor is leaking all sorts of oil, and can't be driven, SO I called a neighbor for help we have no groceries and been eating pretzels I bought in FL, The truck won't be done for a day so the neighbor will take us to Arnprior. The good news is I lost 14 pounds and now another 12 to go, but I may loose more on the pretzel and water diet

At least we got lots of groceries to do me until we can get motoring today. Eveything looks sunnier in Low Land

Trip from hell or to hell??

We were just breezing along through the border and 30 miles into Ontario when it happened, The truck transmission fluid hose let loose- 22 L of oil all over the truck , I wondered why the engine sounded rough and the RPM were high, Then we stopped- dead in the water.. Luckily we were in farm country, Ben went to a few doors and found a friendly farmer- he made a few calls and then took us 2 miles down a back road to a little country store, We tanked up on oil and back to the truck. We found Ben under the truck examining the little hose with the little hole. We applied a plastic bag around the joint and then duct tape, We were off to the races, the truck started we said our farewells and headed for home, We got about thirty miles and then it happened again- empty and over heating, This time I went for more oil - being a long weekend the tow trucks would be slow, the service would not happen for a few days and we would be holed up in the backwoods of Carleton Place, Ben now had some string he did not have a clamp but he made a corded one that worked well enough to get us home, WOW we made it! Then into the house- the place smelled musty we opened it up to find that the house sitting service had over watered my plants and soaked through the carpet. We poured the water out of the plants took up the tarp and went to the garage for the box fan. It was then that I noticed a plow had driven into the side wall of the garage and narrowly missed Ben's little sports car. :Wonder why the housesitter or the plow operator did not say a thing they were probably scared of me. Well we will see! I then noted my lawn had been dug up with the plow and chunks of soil and sod are missing, Ben will have to rebuild the wall of the garage while I rebuild the lawn of course another day!!. SO I went to use the phone to reinstall my car insurance and it is on holidays- my cell has little reception and my internet is sickenly slow.

I decided I should not get into any more mischief I have had enough for one day
Tomorrow is a new day we will see how that turns out!
Glad we are home, the traffic was good and even with all my mischief I was only an hour later than expected
