Just enough apples

The Deer did not eat all my apples I was left with a variety of granny smith and golden delicious apples ripe for the picking. So now I have a heaping of apple crisp and hope that it is calorie free!

Koock Knock Knock.. Who's there

Jane the Canvassing Gal
I am canvassing for the Canadian Arthritic Society and got roped into canvassing coordinator for my little area. Well so far I have about 10 people to boss around.
My canvassers are wonderful folks and may soon want to fire their OCD boss

When someone comes to your door think of me and my poor feet and give generously.

These are so easy to make

I ran out of my beesax bars. YIKES, so I concocted a new batch this time with more essential oils. They are a little easier to apply and good for tose dry patches and the dry hands from sifting through too much fabric!

Remember my acorn remnants in an earlier post??

Perfect idea what to use the whole acorns for......... now all I need are guests

Witching?

Some people use a witching switch to find water. I had a shovel to dig up my liquid honey plate. The 500 gallon cement tomb is to be pumped out tomorrow.. AHH the glamor of living in the country, just one more small chore on a binannual basis.

One nut too many

Those darn squirrels are at it again, daily minefields adorn the driveway, thanks to the over abundance of oak trees. The acorns make treading up the driveway unsteady. But the carcasses hidden in the lawn, makes mowing it  a danger with missiles being launched as you run over the shells

Deer Delights

So far my bounty is punny but full of flavor .
From Golden Delicious and Granny Smith I am getting my vitamins. Between the Deer and the overwhelming dry spells this summer my bounty is a little slim but enough to keep satisfied!

The Cascade Gardens are located in the south end of the town of Banff just south of the Bow River Bridge. I couldn't take any pics and their website above is quite informative. I am sure you will like the showy flowers
