The Banff Spring Hotel was originally built for the Canadian Pacific Railway and they were marked for their architectural grandness resembling castles, the walls were of usually granite and their roofs were copper. The Banff Springs Hotel was to resemble a Scottish Castle..

Notice the Descent from the Tunnel Mountain Drive? Well you don't see it but the bike and pedestrian path on the road is alongside the GORGE, So you want to make sure where you are walking or over you go.

Did you see the Bison Head someone mounted on their laneway light post. EERY!
