I have my own brand of " Miracle Grow"

I have so many trees the grass doesn't like to grow so i dug it out- but i still have lots of lawn= so far!!

Pics from my yard, The Mighty Ottawa River

If you look closely you can see the Laurentian shield in the backdrop and Quebec

The river is a little brisk and I should have several hundred feet of white sand but i have to wait for the water to drop.

More Greenery

Maybe I should have said a few prayers

While I was on my knees. Not only that it -- was in a very romantic setting!! I managed to cut out the old grout out of tiles laid under and around the wood stove. Then replaced some broken tiles, and re glued them. For the final touch the tiles were grouted now need to be buffed. Do I have any takers?? Come on folks life with me is very entertaining the pay is the pits but the company has no comparison!!

Jane being creative

I hope you enjoy the laughs
This is my latest creation and is wool felting
It is raw wool that has been laid out in strips and then using a needle much like an accupuncture needle it is punched down, The next process is the actual felting, you lay the product out on bubble wrap, put a piece of screening on top, dose it with water and roll it up, Now you have a rolling pin shape and for twenty minutes you keep rolling it out to agitate the fibers, get rid of the water and then make felt, I went through this process three times adding new layers, I have a garden of felt now!! I will place between plexi glass and frame it.

That was my day!

Mother's Day is here

And where is Jane?? Soaking in the tub- well almost. I decided nothing perks up the Bathroom like new caulking around the tub, I scraped and jabbed and then applied silicone remover and off came the old caulking. Armed with caulking gun in hand.........................

For someone that can't open jars because of her arthritic hands it is an accomplishment- why can't that apparatus have a little motor to drive the pump to squeeze the caulking out of the tube? Well i did it and it looks very nice, I am quite pleased with myself and what is even more impressive is that for the first time in my life i do not have any evidence of my work on my clothes!!

So what could be better on Mother's day than a nice shiny caulking job in the most often used room in the house... Wonder where my updates will take me next?

Noah's Arc

This is a baby quilt made from jeans that have been stripped and then the squares were embroidered with Noah's animals
