A lot of help from neighbors

Last year the whole complex was dug up and the drainage redone, it was a mudhole. All the new fencing and planting paid off. One of the ladies who lives at the front of the complex planted the front and at the side of the complex. Here is a lot of her work, My gardening spots have not all blossomed as there are lots of bulbs, the flowers at my door and the ground cover I placed along the fence and back of the complex have really done well. Sadly the rest will probably flower when I am not here to enjoy them

As you can tell I am taking a break from

Sewing and quilting at least for another week, We just got back and I have a load of freebie plants to go in the ground, I got snowbells and blue hyacinths from a lovely couple, The man even dug them up for me, Now to see where we will replant them, As they spread like the blazes we will spread them out now and next season they should fill in, BUT for now it is raining, of course, and after the drops stop and our T is brewed we will go out for a gander and see where we will plants these little devils,

I wsa never this creative

Saw this on display at the Tellicum Mall today, I wonder how many pieces it took to make this scene?

Nothing but mud and rain but my magnolia obviously loves this weather, I have a few more plants I would like to put along the fence maybe next week! I planted in the back 40 garden and my rock has tons of bulbs just starting to peak through .

Land of the living

Wonder where I am ?

Hope next week that I will be cured, SO much to do so little time!
I am in BC now and it is raining but not SNOWING
My magnolia tree is full of buds and looks great, Hope I can get into the garden soon when I feel a little spunky!

Grantville, PA

Out in the sticks 4 minutes off highway 81 is a gorgeous hotel the Mainstay suites.

Not far from the Hersey Chocolate Factory , thank goodness we were too late to visit, in what was probably a farmers field a few years ago.. Is this sweet dream, The room is luscious with a full kitchen and all it's implements , even a dish washer!

I was lucky to find it in my little travel coupon book that I picked up at the state line, the hotel is less than a year old apparently and $20 less then list price. We are splurging on this trip and resting in style.

We have only seen a slick of snow so I assume that it is a reminder of what will come tomorrow!!

On the road again

Yesterday we packed up our winter abode and climbed into the little Mercedes. Each year I swearI will by less, each year the backseat and the trunk are packed to beyond expectation . SO here I am jammed into the front seat, the seat is not able to recline and there is limited leg space. The good news is that both of us are able to drive and have turns being in the sardine seat. Night one in Lumberton, N.C. is a familiar spot for us. We navigated to a small but lovley and new motel just off the 95 by a few yards. Now that the old boy is awake we will go for breakfast and be on our way, hopefully there is no commuting hour in this small part of town as the entrance onto the 95 is short and trying if you are just not in the right lane.. Stay tuned!
