Wondering what happened to me.. Well

Things were going very well , when we decided to unload the boat into the river. The transition went well and Ben watered his way home in the boat. I on the other hand drove the truck and trailer home. After the trailer was unhitched and placed in it's resting place I just managed to try to relocate the truck in the driveway, BIG MISTAKE.

The truck would not reverse, OHOH< SO we then managed to winch it to a tree to get it to a position that I could point the truck nose first facing the road. Off to the Mechanic it went, with not so good news.

Now I have a trailer, boat and no truck, the transmission is gone.
To top it off the person that used to put my boat in the river when I had no trailer is no longer in business. I am now going to have to smile sweetly to anyone with a truck and play the little old lady card.

My life is just so exciting, perhaps someone could take some of this good luck to give me a break? Any takers?

One can never have enough gold in their lives

Unfortunately this is not used as currency

My dang robotic quilter decided to give me fits, it would not stitch the repeat properly and of course it was halfway through the quilt and only I would notice, I plan something special for that area. I am not sure what.

SO after getting through that episode I made new leader attachments for my frame so that when I apply the quilt top it is nice and even with no whoops in it caused by outstretched fabric, the total cost of my repair job was $10 I bought ticking at $10 for 10 feet and as it was 32"width I cut it in half now I am a happy camper. Well maybe we will check them out this weekend.

AN ahha moment

I had extra batting and backing oh no not more scraps.. I had a brain storm and now have potato bags cut and ready to sew up. We will see how that works out in the wash, so to speak

SO you think your week was crappy how about this

First we returned home late Tues night to find the lawn mower buried in knee high grass,my PAID groundkeep took the money and gave up we had a 3 year relationship and this was the first pre pay year. Mowing the lawn we found that the leaves were not picked up but blown into my garden, and left in heaps on the lawn . I am on day 3 of trying to resoil and seed my lawn and I need one more day of raking up leaves but leaving some behind that may pull off the plants if the leaves that are so embedded are removed, Hopefully that task will be done tomorrow.

Did I mention that on the way home we had a little diesel smell and Ben looked a filter on the diesel intake was leaking so after it's discovery we ordered parts, WE noticed we ourselves were smelling like diesel so Ben decided to open the hood of the car and work on it right away . TO his horror the top cap on the motor came off and of course the whole motor area is dripping oil- one more mess to clean up tomorrow- how much degreaser can one have.

OH no that is not all- the fridge $300 to refill it and it is warm, the freezer is cold. Ben freaks I go to you tube. The poor thing is only 7 and not much use.. Well Ben takes off the plate at the back of the freezer after he is sure that I turned everything off. I had my opportunity but thought I should wait for another opportunity as fridge repair people are not cheap. Here we are Ben has a hold of the piece and we remove it, I spot a build up of ice thinking that there is a blockage. Ben replaces the piece I am on a chair with a flashlight and turn on the fridge I see that the freezer motor is not working.

AHHA

Out comes the WD40 and the fan is lubricated and working, Within minutes the hot fridge drops 5 degrees. We are now refridgerated, good news is that we have a stand along freezer.

Hopefully tomorrow will be quieter
