One less job to do .. but one more created

Our beloved boat has risen from the drink!
Ben hoped on board and drove the boat to the launch. And none too . There I was trying to back the boat trailer down the narrow path twisting this way and that.Halfway down I gave up and waited for Ben to come to the rescue. I must have provided 10minutes of entertainment to the neighbors or dare I say FEAR< Fear of me putting the trailer and truck through the fence. I should have hopped out of the truck and manually straightened it but was I thinking ?? NO!!!

Ben hoped in and backed the trailer into the drink and kept on backing up, despite my violet hand gestures- no fingers included. The truck sat deep in the water the exhaust making waves and turbulent motions. We walked the boat to the trailer , just as Ben got it hitched it popped off the trailer. After a few tries Ben asked that I moved the truck up the ramp SLOWLY. On the way to getting into the truck I rolled up my capri's decided my runners need a wash anyways and opened up the truck door, another inch the water would have washed the floor.

The solution worked and with the trailer only having it's back end into the deeper water we were in business, As Ben stood on the boat and used a paddle to guide the back end onto the float on trailer I slowly moved the truck 1/3 of the way up the ramp, Stopping long enough for Ben to get off the boat and into the cab.

Off we go for the 5 minute drive home, OF course you are going to ask who backed up the boat into the laneway, NOT ME!!!

Now to swab, scrub and wrap up the deck!
