I just might be certifiable

I decided tonight was the night, The Bailey was put to the test. I grabbed all the spools of mono that I had. I turned down my speed control lightly wound the bobbin with the oh so fine thread.careful not to catch the thread on any protruding screws. nuts or bolts. I took a nail file and sanded the little cut edge on the bobbin that holds the thread when you buy it. We were set to go!

Quilt loaded, thread in place and with a slow motion I guided the machine. I did not want to pull the thread too taught so that it would break, I was on a roll. Mentally I had my checklist- speed control, thread spool with it's collar on so it would not catch on itself and wind evenly. I swooned and scalloped to my own beat, breathing in slow rhythm to keep an even pace.

I did a swath 1 foot X 8 inchs. proud that my experiment worked and almost thinking that soon the bobbin thread would run out, I should probably call it a night.

THEN IT HAPPENED> Kerplunk. The thread caught up on something, the needle was pulled and flexed and it jammed and broke, END OF EXPERIMENT. The needle is replaced, the machine is put to bed for the night. There is always tomorrow
