Below

Are a series of pictures from the applecore quilt I made. I cut out the segments with my accuquilter template and seemed 2 pieces together, then I added to it with the next segment placing it on a 90 degree turn. I now have 4 pieces together , working with that I pieced those 4 together with 6 others ending up with a cross row. There are seven rows both vertically and horizontally . The quilt measures 5 X 5 before borders. Just one more topper to add to my list!

The last bite

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

First the car ignition would not turn, the tumbler was stuck so Ben worked away at it and got it up and going. The tumble was stuck and the key would not go in, a lot of WD 40 and a nail came to the rescue. The poor old car- now set were were ready for the day.. Off shopping we went

I just got back from Bealls outlet well I bought a shirt for my hubby for $10.99 and had a $5 coupon and then they gave me another 30% off so the shirt was $2.88. Ben was hamming it up if only he had known we would have purchased more..

Then at Joanne's I purchased fab that was 50% off and had another coupon for 25% off I got a good deal and then they told me I could reuse my coupon tomorrow and gave it back to me. My hubby is now really suspicious! He might let me out to shop if I keep getting good deals like that! LOL

Mote Morris House

The Mote Morris home was built in 1892 by Leesburg's, Fl 8th mayor. Owned  by Mr Mote it was built for a tidy sum of $9k. The house was sold in 1908 to Bishop Morrision, ten years later it was sold to the Morris family who owned the house for some 70 years

Leesburg Highschool

One of 7 local public school this one appears the most impressive from the outside, with it's spanish flavor, built in 1927 it has had little change and well maintained . It'e enrollment is 3700 sutdents, the school is rated as a "B" school , the rating signifies that the students must have a B acverage to pass into the next grade. As literacy was the area that needed the most work- since 2010 the kids maintain a daily literacy log. This has helped the school increase in it's academic standing from a D to a B average on passing grades

See this truck?

If you can read it -
It says it was a Deputy Sheriff nad the truck was taken from a drug dealer.
I know that the possessions of these dealers were taken but not used by the local sheriff's dept.
Great idea and gets the point through!~

This guy is sooo quiet

I can't count on him being my allarm. Hmm wonder if they would notice if I relocated him....... Say to Ontario.

Fresh off the tree

One of the neighbors has a grapefruit tree and this little guy jumped off the tree and into my path
I scooped it up and took it home. Yummy it is edible. A lot of these trees can be very bitter from
lack of water and fertilizer if left to go wild. I was luck on this find!

Stay tuned

Next week this should be a quilt top

It is true I am alive

Hi there

Ok we are not quite melting today , it has rained heavily for the past 2 hours I am not complaining as it has been hovering around low 30's C this week a great change about 5 degrees cooler than last week. We got new brakes and rotors on the car and now for a new water pump I guess after 30 years the old car is saying it is time to replace the originals. The brake/ rotor job was slightly under $300 so that was good, we know it would cost us a lot more and most of our friends get their work done here especially when the tax is only 6%.We have to wait 3 days for the pump to be delivered by UPS to the fix it shop, That is no problem we have a restaurant here and tons of activities. SO far so good we have not been in any direct line for flooding or tornadoes we must be batting 100!

We found a small leak into the bathroom right from the ceiling just missing the toilet! The weather was dry and Ben got on that roof and we did a lot of leak tests and reparging of the vents, suddenly when it was later in the day and the reflection on the roof was less the old fellar saw a nail hole right in the middle of the roof. THANKGOODNESS> SO we put the sealer on it, waited a day another leak test with the trusty hose and BOB's your uncle, with the torrential rain today we are glad we are dry but better yet it is a good test!

I have gone off all bread and baked products and my arthritis has really improved. I am also biking and of course I love to walk all with little pain, so hoping I am on the upswing. I have only golfed once but hope that by Monday it will dry out and I can get back into my old routine

My garden is all in bloom and my BBQ ( old BBQ used as a planter) is as usual a big hit! My orchids are in bloom and the orange tree is not bad - we really cut it back last year so not as many blossoms and fruit, We are still eating our apples from home.

I visited the fabric shop twice with really good coupons buying only background fabric as I brought a lot of fabric with me, His highness is wonder how I am doing going through withdrawal! I am determined to visit it only on an as needed or dire circumstances. Ben is counting the days for me to give in . Yesterday 60% coupons arrived. Lets see how I can do with fabric rehab.LOL

We have a new pet the greco's are plentiful and one ran into the rv and is playing mouse- good news is that they don't bite and not likely to jump into bed with me, They are very quick and very scared of humans
