In just a short while
We will have been married for 31 years
I remember the day well... Why you say? Was it the dress, the flowers, the meal or the vows... NONE of the above
We were married on a Tues night as it was a scheduled day off for me.There was a light snow and the weather was mild hovering around 0.Everyone was almost accounted for but the groom, It was near 7 pm and the word MURDER came to mind.
Unknowingly Ben was scampering around and he was locked out of the church. Finally someone felt pitty on him and let him in, to his relief..............
Once the ceremony was over and the guests well on their way to the venu....
The bride and groom were no where in site. Hmm What people did not know is that the groom had so many pockets in his 3 piece suit he had no idea where he put the car keys. About 20 minutes later we were on our way in time to get a sampling of our wedding dinner...................
And so married life began and Poor Mr. Low has been suffering ever since. Sorry no returns on this wife!

Hot Wire Hubby
Several years ago hubby purchased a used drill set with an accompanying circular saw. It was a good name brand, sadly the battery was psst. I managed to line up at Home depot at 5 am on boxing day to purchase a new drill with battery the same price as the battery, EUREEKA
Now for those of us familiar with Mr Low there is nothing that can't be done. Today he spied a similar battery - right voltage and size but not the same casing and 1/2 the price.
He successfully tore apart the old spent battery and threw the batteries out and kept the outer casing. He then opened the new battery and pulled out the innards, re wired them into the right configuration and there we go ... another chargeable battery ........................
Best news no one was electocuted in this experiment

Well I was minding my own business when..................... I was chewing on some soft food and suddenly it felt like a rock in my mouth, hm can't be. Low and behold it was smooth, shinny and white. A crown and not the tarnished one on my head... I was able to call a local dentist who is going to attempt to glue on my crown. Ben had to visit him a few years ago and he was very nice, but he did not like the Canadian Socialist Medical care.I guess i will smile sweetly - minus one side crown and take it all in, I wonder with the election not being behind us by a few months he will still be hot to trott. Hopefully he will be gentle really gentle!

Here are some of the guidelines in creating the Modern quilt:
Use asymmetry in quilt design
Rely less on repetition and on the interaction of quilt block motifs
Make primarily functional rather than decorative quilts
Contain reinterpreted traditional blocks-
Embrace simplicity and minimalism-
Often use gray and white as neutrals
Reflect an increased use of solid fabrics
Focus on finishing quilts on home sewing machines
Contain bold colors, on trend color combinations and graphic prints
Are inspired by modern art and architecture-
Incorporate increased use of negative space-
Frequently use improvisational piecing-
Utilize alternative block structures or lack of visible block structure
Looks closely can you pick out the different elements I used to make the qulit
PS for those of you who are not quite sure Sussie Sunshine and her friend are blowing bubbles. I think I need more but maybe tomorrow......................

Sure way to piss off the neighbors
So here we are in a country not our own. It is Xmas time and the joyous cards are flowing. Now you have to realize we are in a section of Florida that is not that giving to foreigners, Mexican or otherwise.
If ever there was a confrontation I certainly would not be found to be anywhere near the trouble. But today I found a way. Innocently I opened my box of Xmas cards with the ENGLISH labeling on the box. Well the cards are cute with poinsettas and garlands. The text is scrolling and colorful.. but there is something awry. AHHA it hits me they are in French, now normally they are not a problem but in this collection of neighbors probably not appreciated, as it should be.
If one has their specs on they will soon see that there is an English translation on the back. Ben is in fits of laughter and wondering just who I am going to give them too. I am certainly going to hand them out they are too pretty to not do that. I will do it with a straight face as if I really meant to send them a card scripted in a language that they don't comprehend.
Lets' sit back and see what happens, then when they ask I will tell them that I am putting them to the test and if they didn't look on the back for the translation I will keep them in suspence.................... Only me in Florida could pull this off...................
And if you find me in your neighborhood tomorrow please give me a ride home........
