A birds eye view of the interior

The unexpected blue wall hides on the other side of this wall, It lines only one wall of the computer room., Today the blue wall is less offending, perhaps it lightened with drying

The kitchen Klutter you can really see when you take a pic
I certainly can fill my counter
But look no one is eating at the table??
That is because Mr. is still snoozing at 8:00 - shame shame

How blue is blue

I wanted a little update, so i got out some paint i found in the garage. I mixed white with aqua and ended up with a gallon of this colour. I used a small foam roller and did the roll on roll off technique to colour wash the wall. It looks a littel cloud like and the white furniture tones it down. We wil see how many folks i scare with it, also good to know i only did one wall as i was leary it may be too overpowering

Homfrontier

The spring cleaning is done in and out, the ice is out of the river, the weather is trying to cooperate. The solarium is set for you! The view is picture perfect- you are looking at part of the Laurentian Shield on the Quebec side of the river

A birds eye view

I live at the south western tip of this photo. If you look closely you can see the Sandy beach. To the north of the white roof top you will see a white streak that goes from the center of the photo to the water's edge. This road is called Whistler's lane and i live north of the intersection on the water's edge. I would fly a big flag for you but because i have soo many trees you would not see it!

This is the view from my waterfront. Of course i have been outnumbered as I try to tell my family that my home's front door is on the water. Therefore the front of the house is on the Water's front, I have been outnumbered as they insist that I enter from the road side of the house and that is the front door. Some people just don't want to admit that I am right!! So it is now in print this photo is the front of the house!

April Showers?

Here we are safe at home after a nice long warm winter. Time to break out let loose and rake, seed and fertilize the lawn. Does it stop there? Not likely ....... With flood waters rising , an extension of the break waters leads to......... you got it the water immediately subsided after all our efforts. Of course the lawn is dry as a bone and the summer pump has been put into place and functional. Now where did i leave the hoses? Hmmmmmmmmm.. Oh well that is for another day.

My attention diverts to the front entrance, the woodwork around the door washed, the metal white equestrian mailbox bristled with an old toothbrush painstakingly to make it almost as pearly white as it once was. Then the door- looking oh so sad. the white paint has a hue of golden a rather aged appearance until.......... The Mrs. got armed with her sander, metal sandpaper and a small extension ladder, googles and gloves. Tally Ho.. The door now sanded, properly coated with metal galvanized metal paint ( that i should have been using all these years and not the scrap paint i found in the garage). You go it folks- The entranceway is glistening, with a sign to welcome all that enter. Sunglasses will be dealt out with a nominal fee for admisson.

Stay tuned for the Low down on the Low family
Pics will follow on the next post.

Home sweet Home

Finally i am home after months of laying in the sun, lazying around, no direction and absolute freedom from schedule. How life changes two and a half measly days of driving and now I can snuggle in my own little beddie bye. Lazzy days are no more. I have raked the lawn, reseeded, dusted the furniture, completed some sewing that was waiting for me on my craft table, and made Penaut Butter muffins. Soon will come the time for Easter egg hunts, boat dodking and house redecorating, I am reconsidering the lifestlye of a full time RVer, Maybe it is for me!!
