I was lucky to attend a World Quilt Show, in Orlando with some friends. Unfortunately some of my photo's are not that great, I am hoping SOMEONE takes the hint and buys me a swanky camera!
There were many quilts of all sizes some were pieced and others were a lot of thread art. I have chosen a little variety to show you . So much inspiration so little time. Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the more tapestry like quilts- not that I did not like them but I couldn't get a clear shot!!

Mischief
We had a good week, somehow Ben managed to build this and get it in the RV and then the legs folded up and we took it out for a rest
Hard to believe that we were able to get around the table and to Ben's delight into the fridge otherwise it may have been take out for a few days.

Sometimes I can be creative
Whipped these up while waiting to get my hopping foot for my sewing machine
Ben built a quilt table for me so now all I need is to get it up tomorrow now that I have my proper quilting foot, Will spend a few days practicing on that quilt then watch out!

Had a great time with the little guy
We got to see his cake but not taste it of course~
He liked his fire truck and took a break out to watch a cartoon show while his parents were out
His parents got him a " Shamu" toy which is a Whale and a dolphin and of course a driver for the Whale.
A good time was had by all there was a lot of entertainment for the little guy at the resort from crafts to playground, pools and splash pad of sorts. The highlight is that he found out in short order a golf cart would bring him back and forth

Low Cal Gingerbread house
I made this on my embroidery machine, I stitched it on a washable stabilizer when rinsed it disappears and I try to leave some of the stabilizer in to make it stiff. I have left it to dry and tomorrow am I will glue on the roof, as you can see it looks a little loose! I put a tea light in it so that you can see how it looks lighted and the detail of the little house. If you click on the photo is will enlarge . This type of embroidery is called free standing lace.
